These are exciting days for our newer church group. We invite you to join us on Sundays to "meet with God" in worship!  Being a Bible-believing fellowship, we are passionate to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ by our words, our deeds, and especially our love, so the wonders of God's grace in Christ might be known, here within the Gulf Coast! 
--Excited that God has provided us a new location (the Gulf Side of the Vacaasa Building in Gulf Shores on Hwy 59)

--Excited for a new name for the church, as we reach out to folks like you who are looking for a church that preaches the Bible, treasures the opportunities to worship God, that lives it out in our lives , and is hungry to discern and do the Father's will. 

History

In 2021, several families met and began praying for God to establish a local, Bible-believing community that would treasure the doctrines of grace.  They wanted to be able to stay within the southern region of Baldwin County, including Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, & south Foley. In June, according to God's good providence, our congregation welcomed Bill Bennett to serve as a church-planter, under the authority of the Gulf Coast Presbytery (a denominational group of committed PCA congregations between Mobile, AL and Tallahassee, FL. Our church-plant was "particularized" on May 31, 2024, signifying its independence as a functioning PCA church with its own local Session. Bill Bennett was ordained and installed as the 1st pastor, while Tom Stanton and Matt Mogan were elected and installed to serve as Ruling Elders on the Session/board of the church.  Bart McLain was installed as our 1st Deacon.

Rev. Bennett served as our pastor for about 2 years before the Lord moved him north to be closer to family. The search for our 2nd pastor took more than a year,  but in October of 2025, God supplied us with a new pastor, Rev. Robert Dekker.

It was a joyful day on Oct 19, 2025, when the elders of our Gulf Coast Presbytery again gathered in Gulf Shores to install Teaching Elder Robert Dekker as our pastor and to welcome him and his wife, Tracy, into our growing community.

Our hearts are still full of gratitude for the many pastors, elders, and teachers who have helped us through that transition year, faithfully helping us to fill the pulpit with Biblically sound preaching and regularly to celebrate the communion sacrament.

Mission

You might be asking why we need another evangelical church in the "Bible Belt"?  Honestly, we are glad that we are not alone with such an interest in the gospel;  but we specialize in lifting up God's role in saving souls.  GOD IS BIG in salvation!   Instead of pressuring people to do something to "get saved," we would have you to see Jesus, and Him crucified.  It is always a cause to marvel, that God saved sinners;  no one else can save!

it is a joy to see l not be alone in sharing the gospel in this beautiful coastal region;  you will find that our specialty is to focus attention on our triune God and how He saves sinners by grace alone, by faith alone, through Christ alone.  We celebrate the reformational teachings that treasure the authority of Scripture and its faithful proclamation through expository preaching.
                                             Our mission is to communicate the GOSPEL by word, by deed & with passion,
                                                       to ourselves, to our neighbors in the Gulf Coast, and to the world,
                                                          so that the wonders of God's grace in Christ might be known!
We hope that you will have a true, deepening relationship with Christ, rather than a mere "religious" experience or some "personal application" of a therapeutic theory. What does it profit a person if you gain the whole world and yet lose your soul? (see Luke 9:25)

Pursuing a Healthy Church

So many people have "scar tissue" from unhealthy church experiences during their lives. Nevertheless, by God's amazing grace, we are here to welcome you back, calling you to enjoy a life that matches Paul's testimony (Rom. 1:16) to walk by faith: 

• to believe the truth (doctrinally faithful to the Bible),
• to love Christ passionately (having a genuine relationship with the Lord), and
• to live accordingly (fulfilling God's will on earth). 

A healthy church seeks to minister not only to one's "head" through teaching, but also to one's "heart" via the an intmacy with God & the enjoyment of God's family fellowship, and to equip one's  "hands" (the use of your time) to be about our Heavenly Father's business.

Our church can be described by many positive adjectives:  Biblical, reformed, orthodox, friendly, conservative, confessional, regional, blended, welcoming, and even non-manipulative.  We’d love for you to join us as we pursue God together

The Bible assures us that when we seek the Lord, we will find Him.
