About Gulf Coast PCA
Gulf Coast Presbyterian is located in Gulf Shores, AL, along the beautiful AL Gulf Coast. It is a relatively new church currently meeting in the training room at EXIT Realty Gulf Shores. God has been gracious in providing us with a temporary place to worship and godly men to lead us.
History
In 2021, several families met and began praying for a reformed church in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area of South Baldwin County, AL. Following a gathering in June, Bill Bennett was hired as a church planter under the authority of the Gulf Coast Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) denomination.
The plant was "particularized" May 31, 2023, signifying its independence as a particular PCA church with its own local session. Bill Bennett was ordained as the pastor (and remained in that position until Oct 2024); Tom Stanton was installed as elder; Matt was ordained as elder; and Bart McLain was installed as deacon.
Currently, our leadership is responding to the critical nature of their responsibilities by governing, discipling, and caring for the congregation while we are without a full-time pastor. We are continuing to grow and develop while we are praying for and pursuing a permanent place of worship and full-time pastor.
Mission
Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is very simple: to lead people to honor and glorify Jesus Christ and to worship the one true God sincerely. We are about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ.
Pursuing God
At Gulf Coast PCA, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word. God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation and His deep desire is to be in a relationship with you. So come and join us as we pursue God together!
